Mamquam Elementary School's Christmas Craft Fair is back this year on Friday, November 17, from 5:30-8:00pm! Come check out the fantastic makers we have in this community! We will also have our delicious bake sale, a concession for snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, a cake walk, our always popular candy kebabs, a kids craft area and a fabulous Silent Auction. We even have a photographer and a beautiful Christmas photo set up to get those Christmas card photos done early (and I've heard rumours that Santa will be stopping by for photos as well)! Mags 99 food truck will be out front so you can grab a bite to eat before you come inside. Entry to the market is free, but tickets are required for cake walk ($2), candy kebabs ($3), and Christmas photos ($12). All funds raised go to support programs at the school, like our school garden and our music artist in residence programs. Hope to see you there!

The Ministry of Children and Family Development is hosting a free online speaker series about topics related to services for children and youth with support needs from November to December 2023. Registration is free and opens on November 2, 2023! For more info or to attend, please click here.

To gather information from students, families, and staff who either have or support individuals with disabilities and/or differences, we have created an Accessibility Survey. As our next course of action, the committee is actively seeking feedback that will help us better understand the needs of individuals who may be affected by disabilities and/or differences that hinder their full and equitable participation in school/work environments and opportunities. November 8th, marks Indigenous Veterans Day, a day dedicated to showing respect and appreciation to the First Nations, Inuit and Metis veterans of Canada for their military service to the country. Learn more about the contributions of Indigenous Veterans here.

We are lucky to have Grant and Rie from Aikidaily International Academy in at Mamquam from November 3rd until November 9th teaching our students the practice of Aikido.

Community Christmas Care's 2023 Hamper Program Application is now available!

The deadline to submit applications is Friday November 17th.

Applications can be picked up at the Mamquam office and in several other places, including at most Squamish churches, Under One Roof, Sea to Sky Community Services and the Women's Center. The application is also attached below, and can be printed, filled out, and dropped off.
