We all enjoyed Literacy Week this week at Mamquam. Thank you for all of the family participation in the home literacy bingo. We enjoyed hearing about some of our staff's favorite books during the morning announcements. On Wednesday at 9:10am the whole school "dropped everything and read", even in PE the students came prepared with a book to read!

One of our students, Road, from Ms. O'Neill's class was the first one to complete our new custom raven puzzle! The puzzle was created using an image of our Raven carving by Art Harry. Way to go Road!

We are looking for some Volunteers to help with picking up our Mamquam School Lunches from Helping Hands downtown on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning at the end of February. These lunches are available to all students that may need a little more to eat. If you are available to volunteer please email Jenny at [email protected]

School District No.48 (SD48) is welcoming new registrations for the upcoming 2024/25 school year starting January 23, 2024, at 8:00 am.

Please be sure to either call the school phone at 604-898-3601 or email Jenny at [email protected] to let her know if your child will be away from school or arriving late.

Grade 6 students have been very excited about selecting their hoody colour choices for their "Class of 2024" hoody to commemorate their final year at Mamquam Elementary. The SD48 DPAC is hosting a Parent Advocacy Training session presented by Susan Wilson via zoom on January 29th from 9:30am-12:30pm. See the attached flyer for more details.

During these winter conditions, we want to share a friendly reminder that schools will remain OPEN unless significant damage to a school site or similar circumstances makes it impossible to operate safely (e.g., with no heat). In the unlikely event that there is a school closure, the School District will do its best to communicate this by 7:00 am. More information related to school procedures for inclement weather can be found here.

School District No. 48 (SD48) offers Early French Immersion for the Squamish area and Late French Immersion for Whistler and Pemberton.
