Hello Mamquam Families,

Mamquam PAC is looking for people to help out with the planning of this years Spring Fling, happening Thursday, May 9. We need a group of 5 or so people to join us in organizing this fun family event! Please reach out [email protected] if you are able to help. The time commitment will be minimal, and areas we need a hand with include things like booking a face painter, purchasing/asking for donations of concession items, and canvassing local businesses for raffle prizes.

We have a bin set up for donations of stuffed animals to have as prizes this year. If you have stuffies to donate, please bring them to the school and place them in the black bin in the lobby near the piano. Deadline to donate will be Monday, May 6 as we need time to get them all cleaned up and ready to go to their new homes!

We also are looking for donations of prizes for our raffle. We are looking for kid friendly donations (they can use their prizes tickets to enter a raffle to win), and adult prizes (we will sell raffle tickets for these). If you have something to donate, please reach out to the same email address as above.

Thank you so much for all your support! We wouldn’t be able to put these events on without you!

Tickets will be available to purchase through your School Cash Online account beginning next week. You will receive an email once the tickets are live! Tickets to the event will be on a list at the front entrance of the event and game tickets will be delivered to your child at school the week of the event.

Mamquam PAC

We are noticing some very unsafe practices in the school parking lot at drop off and pick up. We understand that this is a busy time, however the safety of students, staff and families is a top priority.
Please use the drive through lane as a quick drop off and pick up and if needed to park, please do so in a designated parking spot and turn off your vehicle.
Also remember the front entrance of the school (yellow lined area) is a no parking zone for the safety of our students and to park in the designated assessable parking spots a pass must be clearly visible.
Stopping and waiting at any other area of the parking lot besides the drive through lane or a designated parking stall is not permitted.
Please remember we are an idle free community, especially in our school parking lot where harmful car exhaust fumes easily enters our classrooms and has negative impacts on our students and staff. 
Let's please work together for the safety of our students.

Congratulations to the winners of the school Reading Link Challenge the “Nerdy Pickles”. The Nerdy Pickles team includes Simon, Paityn, Shea, Elliott and Cora all from Mrs. Sissons class. The Nerdy Pickles will advance to compete against all the other elementary schools in Squamish at the Eagle Eye Theatre in May. Congratulations Nerdy Pickles!

We still have a few seats left in our Babysitting course on April 13th at the Sandman Hotel.

We are excited to welcome Squamish CAN back next week for our much loved garden learning. We are excited to introduce Marissa, our new garden coordinator at Mamquam. Please read further to find out more about Marissa. We would also like to take the time to give Marc a big thank you for all of his time and commitment as our previous garden coordinator. We really enjoyed his time here at Mamquam and especially loved his Halloween scarecrow created using natural garden materials, planting and harvesting to make many delicious recipes such as pesto flatbread, salsa and chips, smoothies and our much loved summer mojito party! Wishing Marc all the best on his next adventures.
