School’s out for summer but not for the veggies !
As our spring semester in coming to an end at Mamquam Edible School Yard (MESY) warmer weather is finally ahead of us. It might not have been the warmest spring and the growth was definitely slower, but it didn’t stop us from getting our hands dirty working hard in the garden and learning a bunch of things. I wish a great summer to all the Mamquam Elementary School staff and students and am looking forward to seeing you all in the fall. In the meantime, our summer program will be to maintain a crop succession to have recurrent harvests. All the food produce will be sold weekly at our downtown farm stand (more details to come). Anyone who is looking for volunteering opportunities, don’t hesitate to drop a line at [email protected].

What a year! The PAC would like to recognize what we have contributed this year to the school and students.
*Wobble chairs for some classrooms
* Sport and Art Programs throughout the year
* 3 Picnic Tables and Bench that will go with the new Playground
* 2 sets of Robotics (primary and intermediate) that will be starting next year for a club
* Pizza Days and Milk and Cookie Day
* Ongoing support of the Gardening Program look for Pop Up Sale throughout the summer
*Thank you gifts to our teachers and support staff

We have a ton of items in the Lost and Found! Please come by and check if your child is missing anything. Shirts, jackets, hats, water bottles, toques, gloves, shoes, boots.. everything you can imagine can be found in the Lost and Found!

It's that time of year to return your library books! Check your rooms, closets, under your bed for any overdue library books.

For the 2022-2023 school year, School District No.48 is pleased to introduce a new bus registration system and fully implement a bus pass program for all student riders. Please see a letter from Paul Else, Manager of Transportation & Grounds regarding the new registration process and bus pass program by clicking on the headline.

As the school year is coming to a close we wanted to reach out one final time to remind you to ensure your child’s immunizations are up to date. You can check your child’s records at https://www.healthgateway.gov.bc.ca/
If you child missed their immunizations at the school you can book them either:
• At the Health Unit via the Jane App https://squamishpublichealth.janeapp.com/ or
• At select local pharmacies www.vch.ca\school-age-immunization-campaign
• Covid Vaccines can be booked through https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/register
