News from the MESY Garden

School’s out for summer but not for the veggies !
As our spring semester in coming to an end at Mamquam Edible School Yard (MESY) warmer weather is finally ahead of us. It might not have been the warmest spring and the growth was definitely slower, but it didn’t stop us from getting our hands dirty working hard in the garden and learning a bunch of things. I wish a great summer to all the Mamquam Elementary School staff and students and am looking forward to seeing you all in the fall. In the meantime, our summer program will be to maintain a crop succession to have recurrent harvests. All the food produce will be sold weekly at our downtown farm stand (more details to come).
